I have Dermatographia, often referred to as "skin writing." It's a condition where my skin is highly sensitive to physical pressure / scratching. When I scratch my skin, it leads to raised, red welts. This occurs because my skin's histamine response is triggered more easily than in those without my condition. While it is usually harmless, it can cause temporary discomfort and may require some management such as antihistamines. Letters show up within 10 minutes of scratching and last 30 min - 1 hr.
